Croke Park Camogie Finals 8th June 2015

What a great day we had in Croke Park on the 8th June 2015. After an exciting camogie season the camogie team made it to the finals in Croke Park where we played Rush National School. It was a fantastic day. Our classmates, parents and supporters walked from the school to Croke Park decked out in the school colours and the team travelled the short distance by bus.

There was great excitement in Croke Park when we arrived as lots of other schools were also playing in their finals. What a thrill it was to walk out on to the pitch in Croke Park and hear all our supporters cheering us on! Our parents and even our grandparents had come to see us play and were really proud of us.

We played our hearts out and it was a very exciting match as the scores were so close. Sadly, we were narrowly defeated by a single point, in the last moments of the game. Our supporters were magnificent though and cheered us all the way.

After the award ceremony, we came back to the school where some of the parents had prepared a party for us. We made a presentation to Adrian, Ms. O’ Connor and Ms. Galvin  to thank them for all their hard work and enjoyed a feast of  pizza, drinks and cake . At the end of the day we visited all the classes to thank them for their support and to show them the medals. The happy memories will stay with us for a long time.
