Digital Learning

In Corpus Christi we are very lucky that each of our 19 classrooms is equipped with technology to assist with teaching and learning. There are Interactive Whiteboards or Smart Panels in each of our classrooms that teachers use daily to enhance lessons.

We have over 50 iPads in our school that are used by classes to reinforce learning and develop digital literacy skills. Our Junior Classes have sets of iPads to use during station teaching and we are currently focusing on using Maths Apps/ Games in lessons.

We are also very fortunate to have a new set of 30 Chromebooks for use in senior classes. These are used weekly by all classes from 3rd to 6th.  We use the chromebooks to research and create projects as part of our digital learning strategy. We are learning a lot of different skills and tricks as we learn more.

Our junior classes have Beebots and a variety of Mats to help with developing early coding skills. Our classes have engaged with the Microsoft Hour of Code with thanks to one of our kind parents for the last couple of years. Our school also links with the Digital Learning team in St Patrick's Campus of Dublin City University in which we took part in beebots workshops, robotics, VR and lots more. We are fortunate to be able to link with organisations to enhance our digital learning experiences.

We thank the Parent's Association for their continued support in helping the school to upgrade and update our ICT equipment.
